Emmett’s pumpkin’s large leaves make it a good candidate for growing in the ground rather than in a container or for bonsai.  Acer japonicum ‘Emmett’s Pumpkin’ does best with some afternoon shade, even more so in hot climates.  A standout for firey orange fall color.
